Chroma - Highlight Control 1.0b

Controls

Separation

In short, separation of 0 will apply changes to the whole image and separation of 3 will apply it on the darkest areas of the image only. When adjusting separation, click on 'Mask' radio button and adjust the slider until parts of the image you want to recover are dark, and rest of the image is white.

Gamma

Amount of gamma correction applied. Move slider up to increase details, down to decrease.

Contrast

Amount of contrast correction applied. Move slider down to increase contrast, up to decrease. This slider works much the same way as right slider in 'Levels' function in Photoshop.

How to use

1. Select 'Original' radio button (selected by default) and drag the preview image until you see the area you want to enhance.

2. Click on 'Mask' radio button and adjust separation slider so dark areas of the original image appear dark on the mask and areas of the image you don't want changed are white.

3. Click on 'Result' radio button and adjust gamma and contrast sliders until you get desired result. You can also fine tune 'Separation' slider at that point.

4. Click 'Ok' button to apply the settings to the whole image.
